David Ross

 

 

I studied at Nottingham College of art and design many moons ago, where I developed a keen interest in cartoon, film making and multi media graphics. On leaving college, I started work with East Midlands Electricity board as a senior designer, involved in exhibition and point of sale retail design and marketing. I progressed to work for the Boots company for 20 years as design manager and window design controller. I feel that my career's gave me a good grounding in all aspects of design, image manipulation, colour and shape harmonies.
7 years ago my keen interest in abstract art developed after visiting the Guggenheim in New York and experienced the Kandinsky exhibition. It was an epiphany. Since then I have been producing abstract art manipulating graphic based images, but recently I have enjoyed working in a more purely abstract style.
I have had several exhibitions in Nottingham and thoroughly enjoyed interaction with local art lovers.
